When the owners decided to spend more time in their country home, they were interested in addition that would allow their large family to join them. Additionally, the outdoor fireplace located on the corner of the house was important to the owners. Being a double-sided fireplace made it convenient to be used both on the porch and in the interior of the home. Later we went through the process of replacing every window of the home. The Project
This new family room addition included this outdoor covered space. The owners wanted to accommodate their large family by making sure it matched the old farmhouse look.
We removed the existing deck and built a new one matching all the interior and exterior trim.
Part of the challenge in this project was incorporating the beauty of the trim details, interior and exterior. New Dimension cut small sample pieces of both trim profiles. Custom knives were made for each profile, and we milled the trim in our shop.
